Celebrating International Women’s Day with Tula Blue: A Milestone in Female Empowerment

Honoring Women’s Empowerment: Tula Blue’s First Store-in-a-Store

International Women’s Day is more than just a celebration—it’s a movement. At Tula Blue, we believe in uplifting and empowering women in business, and this year, we have something extra special to celebrate. We’re thrilled to announce our first-ever store-in-a-store on North Padre Island, housed inside another incredible woman-owned business—Beach’n Blooms.

Beach’n Blooms is the newest floral boutique on the island, owned and operated by Meagan Furrey, a longtime local with deep roots in the community. She has poured her passion into creating a beautiful floral and gift shop, and we are honored to be a part of it.

Joining us in this empowering space is another female-led brand, Gypsy Finns Texas, a coastal-inspired artisan business. Together, we’re building a hub of **women-run, adventure-ready brands that celebrate the spirit of independence and creativity.

Founded and operated by women, our brand thrives on creativity, resilience, and community. Every piece of our hand-spun, waterproof jewelry represents the bold and adventurous women who wear it.

As a brand, we have always been committed to lifting up fellow female entrepreneurs, whether through collaborations, community events, or simply sharing their stories. The partnership with Beach’n Blooms and Gypsy Finns Texas is a natural extension of that mission, creating a space where local female artisans and business owners can thrive together.

Every piece of jewelry at Tula Blue is hand-made with care and attention.

Why Supporting Women-Owned Businesses Matters

When you support female entrepreneurs, you help bridge the economic divide, create jobs, and inspire future generations of women to pursue their passions.

At Tula Blue, we firmly believe that when women support women, incredible things happen. That’s why this International Women’s Day, we encourage our community to shop small and celebrate the amazing women behind these brands. Whether you visit our new store inside Beach’n Blooms, purchase from a female artisan, or simply spread the word, your support makes a difference.

Meet the Women Behind This Exciting Collaboration

Meagan Furrey – Founder of Beach’n Blooms

Meagan has been a familiar face on North Padre Island for years, bringing her love for real estate, small business, and community connections into her new shop. Beach’n Blooms is more than just a floral shop—it’s a space that embodies creativity, local charm, and connection.

Meagan’s mother was a florist when Meagan was younger and is now battling cancer. Meagan sees this venture as a way to honor her mother and take care of her. Her dedication to this space is both a tribute and a dream turned into reality.

Shawna McGrath Armendariz - Founder of Gypsy Finns Texas

Shawna started Gypsy Finns Texas as a stress outlet during her cancer treatment, and it has since grown into a thriving business. Gypsy Finns Texas is the third female-led business inside Beach’n Blooms, offering handmade, coastal-inspired resin artwork and designs.

Heather MacRae Stringer - Founder of Tula Blue

Tula Blue has always been about creating adventure-ready jewelry that lifts women up and reminds them that they can do anything. Heather has a strong belief that everything is better together, loves connecting with customers and other small businesses, and thrives on collaborating and lifting one another up—not just for International Women’s Day, but always. This partnership is the best representation of those values.

This collaboration is a true celebration of local women artisans coming together to create a destination for unique, high-quality, female and locally made goods. Heather’s vision for Tula Blue aligns perfectly with this collaboration, making this milestone an exciting next chapter for the brand.

Tula Blue is proud to support women as a completely women run small business.

I am the mother of Meagan Thomas & just visited, from Denver, Beach’n Blooms. To think I inspired this small, but huge in my eyes, floral shop, that houses Tula Blue & Gypsy Finns Texas is beyond my imagination.
I bought stuff & brought it home & feel so lucky to have a little of your island beauty here in my Colorado home.
It’s a must see & I challenge you to walk out empty handed.
It’s the best small business I’ve ever had the honor & pleasure to support with all my heart!!!
