Get this: what we call jade could actually be one of two mineral species: jadeite or nephrite. Although chemically unique, they have similar physical qualities. Scientists didn’t even officially recognize the difference until 1863. Ancient civilizations, especially eastern civilizations & especially in China, worked extensively with jade. From weapons & tools to ceremonial objects & fineries.

Jade is a protective stone, possessing detoxifying & healing properties to aid a long life & a peaceful death. It’s also a dream stone, associated with accessing the spiritual world & insightful dreaming.
